TA'KOLA WINDMILL
GOZO - MALTA

This windmill was originally built on a different location in the village but was of poor quality stone and mortar, so it was re-built in 1787 and is one of the few complete surviving windmills on the Maltese islands dating back to the period of the Order of the Knights of Saint John.  It comprises of a 15 metre tall tower on 2 floors, the first being the workshop and the second being the family living quarters.  Open as a museum.
