ST JOHN'S CHURCH The church was rebuilt in 1849 except for the chancel. It has an east window of Perpendicular period, and a 13th century arcade to a previous north chapel. The circular pier features carved foliage with green men peering out. There is a 1607 alabaster monument to Elizabeth Downes who had 4 husbands. |
