RISLEY HALL Dates back to the 11th century. Once the illustrious seat of Derbyshire’s Tudor family - the Willoughbys - it survived a succession of influential owners. Perhaps the most famous and colourful of these was the Victorian financial entrepreneur, Ernest Terah Hooley. He transformed the hall and landscaped the grounds before he lost his fortune. |
