The Hall was built between 1750 and 1789 by the Lord of the Manor. Richard
Baker. Its Georgian front has several Venetian windows. The fireplace in the south
east corner may come from an earlier building of 1620 on the same site. The Whitmore
family took over the estate in 1884 until its sale in 1968. Tragically
destroyed by fire in 2007.
