BILLERICAY SIGN Christopher Martin, a Billericay property owner traveled on the Mayflower in 1620 as the official ship’s governor with his wife, son and servant. All 4 died after their arrival at Cape Cod, Massachusetts but the rest of the passengers set up a settlement called Billerica in 1655.
