Originally built around 1670, it stood for over 300 years in Hockley Road Rayleigh.
A mill workers cottage, with four rooms, timber frame, wattle and daub walls with weatherboarding.
In 1984, after the thatch was destroyed by fire, it was donated to the Wat Tyler park in Pitsea.
It was dismantled and moved to the park where it was carefully restored, repaired and re-thatched.
